A little something fun about my personal life is that my manfriend is a structural engineer. I'm a creative professional. We see the world very differently, and at first this was a massive point of conflict, and then we realized that have an awesome combination. I come up with ideas, and he makes them not fall over.
We spend a lot of our spare time building things together.
For example, here's a shot of The Wheelie Creative meeting room-- it's in progress still (check out the corrugated metal propped in the door frame and wait till you see what that zone turns into!) He does, however, feel very strongly about never building a pallet wall again. They're extremely time consuming. But seriously, how badass does that office look?!
As if that project weren't enough, we work on lots of little, random projects together.
Like tonight after work, for example:
The sun was out, and the wind wasn't, so it was a nice night to be outside working on a project together. It's always hilarious to have a puppy running around, stealing parts and trying to eat sandpaper. Eddy is already 63lbs, and he is extraordinarily fast. When he is older, he will be a perfect adventure partner.
I also find the creative process of an engineer to be highly entertaining. There's a lot of measuring and a lot of notes and a lot of math. (In my world, it's big news if I draw a loose sketch. Usually I keep my ideas in my head before diving in and seeing what happens.) The precision of an engineering project is admirable, and I wholeheartedly appreciate having someone in my life who loves to run details. It's the best.

I can't recommend Wheelie enough. Our website launch was almost too successful, and we could barely keep up with the amount of orders we received as soon as we announced the rebrand. They are ah.MAZING!"
