When you own a business, Sundays are like a relaxing Friday. You might spend a few hours doing what you want (snowboarding) and most of the day getting shit done (computer time from your bed).

For me, Sundays are by far the most productive day of the week.
This morning, I made coffee and let Eddy run around in the yard. He was so tired from yesterday's adventure that I practically had to carry him down the spiral staircase to his food bowl. What a guy.

Then, I carried my coffee cup back up the stairs and into bed where I busted out my laptop and started catching up on work. Leaving a business behind for even five days is terrifying. I spent last week in Jackson Hole for the JH Pow Wow, and left Wheelie in the hands of Amanda and Dan.  So, on a calm Sunday morning, I read through all my emails, reviewed employee time logs, examined my Quickbooks, and wrote a thought leadership email for my weekly mailing list. Then I worked on the Wheelie website and spent some time clicking through our website analytics to see where people have been spending their time on the site lately. Business owner stuff.

By the time I finished working, I had time to catch the last hour of snowboarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort. Today was the second and final day of the Nate Chute Banked Slalom and Boarder Cross Race, but I'm not competing this year. Last year's race messed up my life pretty badly and sent me walking away with a brain injury that I'm still working on overcoming. I did however, join everyone for a lap for the lost, which is where a group of skiers and snowboarders (and anyone else who wants to join) gather  at the top of the mountain and talk about the friends and family they have lost, followed by a moment of silence and then a fun shred session to the bottom in honor of our fallen friends. I dedicated my lap to my all-time best friend, Scout,  who died in July. I'm glad I was wearing goggles because the tears couldn't stop coming, but it feels good to remember him. We had thousands of good times together. I really miss the guy. He would want me to keep shredding hard though, and he would want me to have my new dog, Eddy, in tow, so that's what I do. Scout was big into happiness and doing what you want.

I snapped a few nice shots with my GH4 of Brett Bacon and Sam Bassett catching some air. Those dudes are a lot of fun. Their positive energy is abundant. I'm really enjoying getting behind a camera and capturing my love of snowboarding. There's something cool about stop action photography, and it's proving to be  my personal creative outlet these days, which is important to have if you own a creative agency.

After snowboarding, I went home and worked  more. I read through a lot of resumes I've received for the project manager position we are looking to fill. Exciting times at Wheelie. There are a lot of great applicants.

And now, at 9pm, my manfriend and I are going to cook some dinner and get ready to rally tomorrow.
Thanks for reading.

BEHIND THE WHEEL
I can't recommend Wheelie enough. Our website launch was almost too successful, and we could barely keep up with the amount of orders we received as soon as we announced the rebrand. They are ah.MAZING!"
