HIRING: Partnerships manager

Position Overview:

Outdoor-based creative agency, WHEELIE, seeks a self-motivated Partnerships Manager to work with clients and creative team. This position includes managing existing accounts as well as building partnerships to develop new agency relationships and work agreements. The primary role of this position is to support client projects in a professional, organized manner as well as to initiate and establish relationships, develop partnerships, and grow revenue.


This person will be highly involved with the accounts they manage and interact with the creative team and client to meet deadlines, manage budgets, and client expectations. Our clients are typically in the outdoor industry, so relationships and experience in the outdoor, bike, and action sports industries are extremely relevant.


At Wheelie, the accounts team is kind of like a combo between a project manager, producer, and art director. The nature of our work means this person will project manage creative projects, so naturally, there are a lot of creative conversations with clients and our internal team. This person is also analytical and constantly deconstructs trends in the outdoor industry as a big business, always looking out for the best interests of our clients. This person is nimble, fun, and effective.


Our dream candidate for our new Partnerships Manager is a person for the people. This person would have an awesome, friendly personality met with a type-A, detail-oriented, intrapreneurial mindset. This person can also talk about creative work with the nuanced ability to honor and articulate the level of strategy, expertise, and love that our creative team puts into it. This person is able to have tough conversations, help guide creative conversations. This person is solutions-oriented and excellent at critical thinking. One day you might be booking a helicopter for a film project and the next you may be figuring out how to help the creative team dress animals in outdoor gear for a commercial. You might spend an entire morning brainstorming and reviewing work agreements with clients, where everyone walks away feeling heard, appreciated, and stoked, and your afternoon may consist of managing budgets and working with our creative team on the most efficient way to stay within budget while also hooking the client up with a little extra Wheelie magic. This position may be fully remote, super flexible, as long as the WiFi is predictable and this person is able to attend meetings based on client and agency needs. (Monday-Thurs 8:30-5pm-- that’s right: we are closed on Fridays.) If remote, this position will require travel to integrate with our Whitefish-based team periodically for the purpose of company culture and deeper understanding of creative services/customer service.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Desire to join an elite team of top performers empowered by high standards to change the world through creative work.

  • Manage accounts- deeply understand what motivates the client, the intended impact of the creative work, and serve as a friendly and honest guide for the client to get them the results they need via our agency partnership. Project management meets human relationships.

  • Allocate tasks to creative team members

  • Understand budgeting and adhere to given budgets

  • Implement and manage e-mail marketing campaigns to convert thought leadership into new partnerships.

  • Collaborate on PR outreach efforts

  • Collaborate and guide creative team on projects based on client feedback and desired outcomes, work very closely with Associate Creative Director on how to divide work to team within budget.

  • Support client content development strategy

  • Understand client data analytics to justify ROI

  • Support management of client budgets

  • Understand that our agency is a little wild and no two projects are the same. Critical thinking and extremely good communication are the pillars of excellent customer service at Wheelie.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spelling and grammar are life.

· Excellent listening skills and interpersonal skills.

· Strong software skills, from G-Suite to project management and email marketing systems

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Demonstrate ability to multi-task and manage priorities

· Resourceful and able to meet deadlines

· Extremely comfortable talking about money and writing proposals

· Thorough understanding of creative services (digital and traditional marketing)

· Understanding of and passion for digital marketing.

· Interest in action sports, outdoor, and bike industries.

Salary

$DOE + 5% commission on every signed contract you bring in.


Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday (average 33 hours per week)

  • Start Date: ASAP

Work Location:

  • Fully Remote, Some travel required to meet with team.
