the METHOD
The entire creative concept behind the visuals for Spotted Bear Spirits was to draw inspiration from the wilderness and combine it with human elements used to aid adventure-- maps, field notes, old artist notebooks with tattered covers. We took the wild nature of landscapes and animals and put them into a human environment with crinkly maps, pen, and watercolors.

The result is a unique, incredibly custom style that even resulted in the creation of a special font just for this project.(Is wilderness chic a thing? It is now.)

the CUSTOM FONT
Because of the deep connection with the Spotted Bear Wilderness we wanted to use a typeface that felt handwritten but formal enough for a liquor bottle label. Spotted Bear Spirits loved Amanda's handwriting so much that we developed it into it's very own font. "The-Amanda-Font"
