Hi this is Amanda. I  work at Wheelie as a full time designer/photographer, how exciting is that?! I'm starting a weekly post called A Wheelie __(fill in the blank)____ Week. This week, the adjective of choice is Great.  Because this week was, well.... great.

There seem to be so many things worth sharing with all of you. I think most of you already are aware that Lisa and I like to instagram our time working on projects and being silly. We even have a hashtag dedicated to Girl-Bros. #girlbros... But with that aside, we  work really, really hard  here at Wheelie Creative to produce awesome work for our clients. Our clients mean a lot to us and we want to mean a lot to them as well.

So with all that being said, let me share what a wheelie great week it was here at our good ol' design firm in Whitefish, Montana!

We started off our week with a team meeting, chatted about some goals both Lisa and I have, and then we worked our little tails off! Guess what? We finally caught up with all our projects and dealing with Lisa having a head injury and being unable to work for the entire month of April. It has been a crazy month here at the Wheelie HQ.  Lisa is making a full recovery from her head injury, by the way, but with that in mind, we had a lot to catch up on, and sometimes we go into beast mode design frenzies. (We designed hard this week.) We had lots of really rad clients to reach out to, a few meetings here and there, along with a photo shoot at Whitefish Physical Therapy and Sport Center.

Lisa and Dawn (we just love Dawn Rauscher) conducted interviews at the Wheelie HQ most of the day on Thursday, in hopes of finding a perfect fit for our next team member. We hope to have an official Operations Manager with an epic type A brain to help Lisa and I with our extreme type B brains. Someone to keep our project schedule on track and take care of our client relations, so that the creatives at Wheelie can maximize our time being, well, creative.

But Amanda...What did you work on this week??? (you may be asking yourselves)
We designed maps, wooden tokens, coasters, logos, ads, had quite a few meetings, updated project files, went on a photo shoot, celebrated Lisa's birthday, and planned out our workflow on the whiteboards...we have fancy project management software, but we are also kind of old school around here and still use whiteboards to keep track of our days. Sometimes it's really useful to do this, especially when things get lost in technology land. Basically what I'm trying to say is that we try our damn hardest to be efficient.
One of the best things about working at Wheelie full time is that I get daily doses of Lisa Slagle's hilarity! She gets a ton of stuff done, but somehow still manages to make our work environment extremely fun.  I'm pretty sure we laughed so hard on Wednesday that we almost peed our pants (even our web guy, Pete, was in on it). Sorry, I know it's kind of silly for me to share that laughter information, but then not tell you all what the extreme laughing situation was over, but trust me, it's an inside joke and you wouldn't understand.

I can truly say, what else would I really want from a full time job? I get to live in Montana, and I like to think of our little company as the miniature version of Google or Pixar! The creativity just grows constantly,  and this is a place where we can wear sombreros if it makes us even feel more creative, and we can rock a beanie or star wars Vans (thanks again for my rad birthday gift Lisa!). And after work, I get to hit the Whitefish Trail for some trail running.

Check back with me next week for more on A WHEELIE _______ WEEK!

BEHIND THE WHEEL
I can't recommend Wheelie enough. Our website launch was almost too successful, and we could barely keep up with the amount of orders we received as soon as we announced the rebrand. They are ah.MAZING!"
