By Amanda Guy - Our Designer A long long long time ago, in a Galaxy not too far away, I was born! Haha! Needed STAR WARS reference to start off this round of my (seems like semi-weekly) blog post. As some of you may know, my much anticipated 30th birthday fell last week on Friday, and thus I missed yet another week of blog posting. But I had the best birthday yet full of family and friends that I cherish so much. They took me snowboarding, they surprised me with more friends and family at Bonsai, followed by a delicious dinner at Jersey Boys Pizzeria and then they took me bowling! We finished the night by dancing our faces off, and I couldn't be more happy to have such rad people in my life. So basically, I have a lot to catch all of you Wheel Heads up on as far as the business goes. We've had a very crazy and very busy couple of weeks at The WheelHouse and I'm happy to say it's been nothing short of fun and wonderful. Last week we had so many websites to work on our heads were spinning in internet land. We had meetings all week long and lots of logo/branding projects in the works. We even spent a whole weekend at the office working on a rush job that turned out to be one of our funnest projects yet. We made some great connections with the clients on the project and cannot wait to see the final product in print and on signs. Stay tuned for that update! We also spent a lot of time beautifying the office, and by we, I mean Lisa and her manfriend, Travis. We officially have a new, beautiful pallet wall. We also have a super gorgeous wood table, thanks to another talented friend, Josh Joseph. Things are really coming together around here. The office is looking better than ever, and now that we have a new conference table, Lisa finally has a desk, so that means Niles, our Intern, now has his own desk. He no longer has to sit in our break room and shout out to me from behind the wall. It's just wonderful. Lisa has been extremely busy the last couple of weeks keeping up with the office, phone calls, and teaching the youth of America at Flathead Valley Community College. She had a lot to do last week to prep for a shoot, on location, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We've missed her like crazy and can't wait for her to get back. Dan and I have been busy busting out designs, editing websites, and brainstorming for upcoming campaigns that we could not be more pumped about. But, while it's fun to work together at the office, we do miss having that Lisa girl around with all of her hilarious comments, great critiques, and general motivation to keep Wheelie firing on all cylinders! Basically, next week we'll be back to our trio of shenanigans and Wheelie Adventures once again!
Now let me cover some of the fun designs we've been pulling together as of late. I have had no shortage of projects. Currently, in the office between Dan, Lisa and myself, we have 27 active projects with more to come. We've posted two new job listings (NO, DAN IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!), and I have been drawing to my little heart's content with ink and paper for a super secret project here in the valley that I cannot wait to reveal in the coming weeks. So stay tuned for that one as well. It seems like right now we have to keep most of our projects on the DL, but man, when some of these projects start going public, our social media pages and blog posts will be blowing up with fun new imagery. But the projects I can mention we are having a great time working on right now. Whitefish Therapy and Sport Center will have a brand new website soon. All the same info, laid out on a new platform. We met with Ashley yesterday, and she was pumped and had wonderful insight and edits for us to make. We also are making a website for a little vacation spot here in the Whitefish Area that I think will become very popular in the years to come. (Hint) It's very close to the Beaver Lake's Trailhead. So if you like to mountain bike and you love scenery, this spot will be great for a weekend get away and more.
We'll have a lot of fun events coming up this Spring and Summer here at the Wheelie HQ. We intend to have a really fun Grand Opening Party as soon as we have our space put together exactly how we want it. We also would really love to bring back "Bike-In Movie Nights." If you live in Whitefish, you probably own a bicycle, and you also probably really love hanging out outdoors when it's beautiful out with friends and family. So just keep in mind that Bike-In Movie Night could start up again for a fun summer of entertainment.
If you're interested in possibly sponsoring a Bike-In Movie Night, please feel free to email us. We would love to feature a local business in the valley for the movie nights.
