Amanda Guy - Our Designer Hi Everyone! I know it has been a long time since my last Wheelie HQ update, but I’m back, and I have a lot to share with all of you. It’s bananas how fast this year feels. It’s already June, and I feel like we just celebrated Christmas and New Year’s. Now that summer is here, we have a lot on our plates and are really looking forward to the next six months ahead. Currently it’s about 6:30am, and I’m the only one at the office. It’s really quiet here, and I find that I’m probably at my best early in the morning. I get a lot done, and it leaves time for all of those stoke meetings, client interactions, and the rad creative direction I get in the afternoons. It also gives me some time to check out what’s new in the design world and what trends are really taking graphic design by storm these days. our fearless leader
wheelie what? WHEELIE CORPORATE
ANYWAY, MOVING ON ...our sales teamYeah, that’s right, a sales team! Wheelie is all grown up! You might not know this, but Wheelie started in Colorado in 2009 and migrated up to Montana in 2012. We went through a few offices because we kept outgrowing them. Remember that time Lisa, Dan, and myself all worked in a tiny office with our giant principal desks, high-fived each other from a seated position, and cranked up our headphones because baby Eddy would scream from his kennel as a puppy? Good times. We have definitely come a long way in the last three years, and having Account Managers on our side is simply fantastic. Talk about a lot of stoke and a lot of personality! With a sales team at our side, we feel like a well-oiled machine. Dan can be a brand strategist, Jessica can be a project manager, I can be designer/photographer, our interns can intern, Lisa can boss away and kill it running the company, and our sales team can crush sales! (And Eddy is a full-grown dog and now only barks occasionally from the backyard at the office.) He's officially Eddy 3.0. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to find all of us out in the woods doing trust falls and braiding each other’s hair. what the summer holdsColorado office aside, we have a lot happening here in Whitefish. We have several coals in the fire, but lately it seems we’ve been doing a lot of photography for products and social media stoke and taking on quite a few business branding projects. Logos, logos and more logos, web design, package design, and merchandise design. We also expand our design knowledge whenever we have a chance. In fact, Lisa and I attended Struktur 2017 in Portland a few weeks ago and learned some new tips and tricks for the design industry. We’ve also made it a priority to work on the Wheelie Portfolio as much as possible. We’re pretty stoked about the new look and feel of our online work folio and hope you’ll take a minute to check out what Wheelie has been working on over the last 8 years. camber exchangeIn addition to working all of our client projects, we have something else coming down the pipeline that we are pretty darn stoked about.
We will be hosting a Camber Exchange on July 13, here at the Wheelie HQ. Now you may be wondering, “What is a Camber Exchange?” “Camber Exchanges are local events that connect people who share common interests, career objectives and passion for the outdoors. These happy hours gather women and men from all areas of the industries to network, spark ideas, learn from industry leaders, and participate in a grassroots community committed to the vision of Everyone’s Outdoors.” Join us for guest speakers, food, Sweet Peaks Ice Cream, networking, community, common interests, laughs and FREE BEER! For more information and to register for this amazing event where we hope to encourage women’s leadership in the outdoor industry, visit camberoutdoors.org/events. You can also find info on the Wheelie Facebook page to check out the event details. Thanks for stopping by the blog and checking out what has been happening around here at Wheelie Creative. We’ll keep everyone updated on all things Wheelie throughout the summer and update you on the Camber Exchange event as it approaches. Hope to see you there!
